This floor model globe was made by Cram’s Imperial World Globe. There is an attached label identifying it as a replica of the glove used in Norman Rockwell’s famous “Santa at the Globe” illustration. The illustration was printed in the December 4th, 1926 edition of the Saturday Evening Post. The brass meridian band encircles the entire glove. The globe rests in a solid mahogany cradle mount and can be removed for closer viewing. The revolving pedestal is another feature to aid in viewing the globe. The stand and glove are in excellent condition. What a wonderful tribute to Norman Rockwell and Americana! 41"h X 25.5"w X 25.5"d, Condition: Excellent, Circa: 2000.
