This handsome walnut writing desk is from the Victorian period. The black leather looking top is framed in burled walnut and accented with ebonized trim. There is some very minor veneer loss on the burled walnut top. Below are drawers on both sides of the desk. The drawers have burled walnut fronts accented with gold incising. The two drawers have their original working locks. Notice the ornately pierced carved base ends and the boldly turned stretcher with a large center finial. The desk is accented with ebonized trim and additional gold incising throughout. The desk rests on its original casters. The finish is in very good condition and has a rich color. 31"h X 48"w X 24"d, Condition: Excellent, Circa: 1870's.
