This hard to find small size Victorian dining table expands an amazing 12 feet! The solid walnut table comes with 2 original leaves, each measuring 17” wide. The previous owner added 2 more oak leaves, each measuring 12” wide. When all the leaves are in place, the table expands to 100” or over 8’ long. If you want to take advantage of the 12 opening, just use a piece of plywood and cover with a table cloth and no one will be the wiser. The table has a lovely flame walnut graining along the skirt or sides of the table and a delicate ripple moulding along its edge. There is a 1.5” piece of ripple moulding missing. The elegant serpentine shaped legs have a boldly carved acanthus leaf at the top with a finely carved rose below. The table rests on its original brass casters. Notice the boldly turned center leg which provides additional support when the table is fully expanded. The finish is in excellent condition having a rich color and patina. The table is extremely sturdy and stout. 29.5"h X 42"-100"w X 42"d, Condition: Excellent, Circa: 1860's.
