This midcentury solid walnut barrister or stacking bookcase was made by Hale, Herkimer, NY. The bookcase is comprised of 5 separate pieces; a cap; 3 stacks; and a base. Each stack has a glass front which lifts up and slides back for easy access. They retain their original glass and brass knobs. The doors open and close smoothly. Two stacks will accommodate books up to 10” tall and one stack holds books up to 12” tall. The finish is in excellent condition. 48"h X 34.5"w X 11.25"d, Condition: Excellent, Circa: 1950's.
