This solid mahogany Centennial corner cabinet is in the Chippendale style. The cupboard comes in 2 pieces for ease in moving. The upper glass doors have a large pane over 3 small panes. The doors retain their original glass, cast brass key escutcheons. Inside are 2 butterfly shaped shelves with plate grooves. Below is an open shelf area with mirrored backs. There are reeded quarter columns on either side of the upper and lower doors. The base has rope or gadrooned carvings along the top edge. Below is a hand dovetailed drawer having its original cast brass pulls and 2 doors with beveled glass fronts. These doors also retain their original cast brass key escutcheon and working lock with key. Another finely carved rope moulding rests atop boldly carved ball and claw feet. Notice the delicate shell carving above the claw feet. The corner cupboard is in excellent condition. There is a professionally replaced cornice moulding located on the far right. The finish appears original and is in excellent condition having a deep rich color and desirable patina. This narrow cabinet will require at least 24 ¾” wide walls. 86.5"h X 36"w X 20"d, Condition: Excellent, Circa: 1890's.
