This hand painted Royal Bonn portrait vase is signed by the artist. The quality, detail and workmanship is exceptional. The portrait is life like and looks like a photo, but is not. The signature is located above her right shoulder. This is not your typical hand painted vase. Notice the detail around her eyes, her hair and even the folds in her blouse. The use of greys and brown against the Chinese red color of the vase is quite dramatic. The vase is highlighted with gold gilt. Look closely and you will see a light, very narrow rub to the right of her eye. This is only noticeable upon close examination. The bottom and base of the vase migrates into a rich chocolate coloring. The vase is free of chips, cracks or repairs. What a magnificent example of the best of Royal Bonn. 13.5"h X 9.5"w X 6.5"d, Condition: Excellent, Circa: 1900.
