This early pine bucket bench is a rare find. Notice the shape which allowed wooden buckets to be stored on the lower shelf. These were also used to store crocks as well. There are 2 hand dovetailed drawers below a top shelf. The shelf is 10” deep and has sides and a backsplash. The lower shelf is 16” deep, 39” wide and 19.5” tall. Below are 2 doors with recessed paneled fronts with a wooden outside latch for securing them closed. The bucket bench rests on cut out legs. The finish has a wonderful worn, aged patina with a warm color. What a fine example of early Americana country furniture. 48.75"h X 40.5"w X 16"d, Condition: Excellent, Circa: 1840's.
