This Victorian bronze looking lamp may have been originally designed to set on top of a newel post. There is a finely cast figure of a cherub or angel gathering fruits and standing amongst cattails. The details are exquisite. There are 3 metal electrified arms emerging from behind the cherub. The sockets are decorated with cast leaves. The figure stands upon a promontory or pile of rocks. There is a larger, fancy cast base that the lamp rests on. The base may have been added later. The size of this base is 6.5” X 6.5” square. If desired, the figure can be removed from this base if wanting to attach the lamp to a small newel post. The base of the figure measures 3.75” in diameter. The lamp can function either way. Each socket has a pull chain to turn on and off. The lamp is in excellent working condition. 20"h X 12"w X 10"d, Condition: Excellent, Circa: 1900.
