This solid walnut table is in the Victorian style and is referred to as a library table. These were used as writing and reading desks. The shapely top has an inset leather looking top. The skirt along the ends of the table has applied panels of burled walnut. There are 2 hand dovetailed drawers on one side and 2 faux or fake drawers on the other. The drawers have burled walnut fronts and original carved wooden knobs. The table is beautiful from all 4 sides. It rests on 4 boldly turned legs and stretchers. Notice the large carved finial below. The finish is in excellent condition having a rich warm color and very desirable patina. 29.75"h X 39"w X 22"d, Condition: Excellent, Circa: 1870's.
