This large Victorian hall mirror with bench is also called a hall tree. These were originally designed to be placed in the main hall to accommodate hats and coats from waiting visitors. Amazingly, this hall tree is in fabulous, original condition. The arched crest is boldly designed with deep carved scrolling leaves, heavy moldings and delicate incised carvings. There are raised panels of burled walnut surrounding the original large beveled glass mirror. Notice the twisted half columns along the sides and the 6 original fancy cast brass hooks. Below the mirror is an attached bench having a recessed paneled back with applied burled walnut; its original seat fabric; and its prominent arms with delicately turned spindles. The two hand dovetailed drawers below the seat retain their original unpolished brass pulls. The hall mirror and bench rest on boldly turned legs. The finish is original and in excellent condition. What a statement this will make in any home. 91.5"h X 54"w X 18"d, Condition: Excellent, Circa: 1870's.
