This French inlaid game table has some wonderful features. The finely inlaid top incorporates various woods to create a delicate floral pattern in the center, at each corner and along the sides of the top. The table is edged in a bronze trim with beautifully cast décor at each corner. The top swivels and opens up to reveal its original felt covered playing card or game surface. When opened, the top measures 42.5” X 29”. Unlike most game tables, this will accommodate 4-2 people. The felt has some slight separation on 2 sides but is still lovely and functional. Check out the table skirt having additional floral designed inlay and a shapely edge. The curvaceous, serpentine shaped legs have decoratively cast bronze mounts that extend from the top of the leg to the delicate looking feet. Look closely and you will see a drawer located on one end. There is a felt lining at the bottom of the drawer imprinted with a backgammon design. The drawer is intended to be removed and placed on top of the table for playing purposes. The table finish is in excellent condition having a warm color and patina. 29"-30"h X 29"-42.5"w X 21"d, Condition: Excellent, Circa: 1900.
