This centennial Chippendale solid mahogany wardrobe was most likely made by the well-known custom furniture company, Feldenkreis of Philadelphia. This exceptional quality chifferobe has great detailing. Notice the rope or gadrooned carving along the top and bottom edges; the finely carved fully turned Corinthian capitals; the rare ‘D’ shaped door fronts with recessed panels; and the boldly carved ball and claw feet with acanthus leaves carved on their knees. Another unique and wonderful feature is the 7 deep drawers inside on the left. The top drawer retains its original lock. There is a sliding original hanger on the right side of the interior. The front doors retain their original working locks with a key. This handsome wardrobe retains its original finish which is in excellent condition having the deepest, richest mahogany color. Please note that the interior area to the right can be easily modified with shelving if desired. 62"h X 48"w X 24"d, Condition: Excellent, Circa: 1880's.
