This walnut Victorian doll bed is rare due to its original half tester canopy. The canopy is supported by tall slender posts on the arched top headboard. The same profile is repeated on the footboard which is supported by intricately turned posts. Notice the applied raised burled panel on the footboard. The footboard is missing 2 small tombstone shaped panels, one on each post. There are handmade cotton valances and curtains hanging from the half tester. There are also 2 matching pillows with cases. They appear to be later replacements from around the 1930-40’s. The blue and white ticking and mattress may be original. All are in excellent condition. The bed frame appears to have its original finish which is in excellent condition. 18.5"h X 12"w X 18"d, Condition: Excellent, Circa: 1860-1870's.
