This walnut Victorian sideboard is in the Renaissance Revival style. The server is amazingly all original and in excellent condition. The sideboard comes in 3 pieces for ease in moving. The back piece has a heavily and deeply carved arched crest. There are 2 large recessed burled walnut panels flanked by 4 raised burled walnut panels. Notice the small round candle shelves and the one long shapely shelf supported by 4 carved columns. The beautiful original salmon colored marble has shaped corners and is in excellent condition. Below are 2 hand dovetailed drawers with narrow raised panels of burled walnut, carved pulls and carved key escutcheons with their original locks. The left drawer has multiple dividers for flatware. Below are 2 recessed burled walnut paneled doors. Each has their original carved pulls and key escutcheons. One door retains its original lock with key and there is a shelf behind each door. Notice the carved burled walnut fully turned columns on the ends. The sideboard rests on its original brass casters. 97"h X 62"w X 25"d, Condition: Excellent, Circa: 1870's.
