This wonderful Victorian hall or ceiling light was originally oil or kerosene but has been electrified. Check out the size and shape of this ruby glass shade. The shade alone measures 12” tall by 12” wide. There is a beautiful raised design throughout. The cast brass ceiling canopy houses 2 sets of chains which allow the lamp to be lowered and raised. This was necessary for lighting purposes when the lamp was kerosene. The shortest overall length is 20” and its longest is 38”. The lamp also retains its original brass smoke bell. Notice the brass beauty ring along the top of the shade. The lamp has its glass chimney. All parts are in excellent condition. 20"-38"h X 12"w X 12"d, Condition: Excellent, Circa: 1880's.
