This Victorian ebonized center table is skillfully decorated with bone or ivory inlay. The central panel shows 3 winged cherubs or angels riding 2 dolphins. There are delicately inlaid leaves, vines and flowers encircling the table. The inlay work is exquisite and in excellent condition. If you look closely, there are some very tiny pieces of replaced or restored inlay. Of course, some of the bone has checked or cracked which is to be expected given its age. The oval shaped top rests on a boldly carved center pedestal having 4 legs. Notice the dramatically executed acanthus leaves above each knee. The legs end in robustly carved paw feet. The table has its casters which, if desired, can be removed and will lower the table height from 28” to 26.5” tall. The finish is in excellent condition. 28"h X 39"w X 50"d, Condition: Excellent, Circa: 1860's.
