This fancy gold mirror was originally designed to hang over a mantle. Check out the detailed mouldings and carvings of flowers, leaves and trailing vines. The large central beveled mirror is surrounded by panels of smaller beveled mirrors of various shapes and sizes. The original mirrors are all in excellent condition. The gold frame maintains some of its original gold gilt. Upon close inspection, there appears to be some earlier professional repairs. As with all gold mirrors of this period and construction, there are numerous age cracks. These only add to the mirror’s appeal and its antiquity. There are 4 original cast brass hooks to secure the mirror to a wall. 58.5"h X 54"w X 3"d, Condition: Excellent, Circa: 1880's.
