This solid, quarter sawn oak roll top desk is in excellent condition. The desk comes apart in 3 main sections for ease in moving. The tambours glide up and down smoothly. It retains its original lock and hardware. Inside are 21 different sized storage cubbies, four raised paneled file drawers with their brass card holders, 2 raised paneled drawers and 2 slide out pen drawers. There is one pencil holder but is missing its second one. There are also 2 file or letter holders on the sides of the desk interior. The base of the desk has 2 slide out work surfaces. On one side are 4 raised paneled drawers and the other side has 2 drawers and one deep file drawer with a divider. Notice the multitude and various sized raised panels on the sides and back of the desk. The desk is finish and meant to be viewed from all sides. The original finish is in excellent condition having a warm, rich color and patina. 51"h X 50"w X 32"d, Condition: Excellent, Circa: 1880's.
