This 2 piece blown cased glass item is called an epergne and were commonly used during the Victorian period. They were placed on tables to serve foods, provide decoration or to display floral arrangements. The tall slender center section is perfect for flowers. The white glass has a cased layer of a deep rose colored glass with a ruffled shape along the edges. They are decorated with hand painted royal blue flowers with leaves. There are some narrow bands of gold hand painted along the bases. Some of the gold shows wear. The epergne is free of chips or breaks and is in excellent condition. 15.5"h X 10"w X 10"d, Condition: Excellent, Circa: 1890's.
