This solid walnut Victorian mantle clock was made by the Ingraham Clock Co. It retains its original 8 day movement which is in excellent working condition. The clock strikes every hour and half hour. In addition, it even has a working alarm! Notice the ornately carved crest with its original applied thermometer. You can see old traces of gold highlights on the crest which may have been added later. The elaborate carvings extend along either side of the door. The fancy gold stenciled reverse painted door glass is original and in excellent condition. Notice the ornately cast pendulum is original as well. The brass bezel has an aged paper dial which is all original. The finish is in excellent condition having a rich color and lovely patina. 24"h X 16"w X 5"d, Condition: Excellent, Circa: 1880's.
