This small size mahogany Sheraton sideboard has some unique detailing. There is a tall back board with 4 twist half columns. Each side has a graceful turned gallery sitting above a small candle drawer. Below are 3 drawers side by side which have flame mahogany fronts with banding on the outside edge. Below are 2 doors with recessed flame mahogany panels. Notice the 4 tall narrow drawers on either side which were originally designed to hold liquor bottles or decanters. All the doors and drawers have their original locks. The drawers are all finely hand dovetailed. The right side door panel has an old crack which is barely noticeable and does not distract from its appeal. Notice the turned and carved twisted half columns on either side of the drawers. Amazingly, the cabinet has its original finish which is in very good condition. There are some older, minor professional repairs. The color and patina is rich and inviting. 54"h X 59.5"w X 22"d, Condition-Very Good, Circa-1820-1830.
