Here we have, a very unique piece. It is a hand made porcelain powder jar, and all the decoration is hand made and applied. Covered with tiny, hand made shells or flower blossoms, and the handle and top look to be cherries and leaves. All are decorated with gold. Each piece was done by hand and applied. I have no idea as to the maker, but there are some stickers attached from the previous owner as to the year, but there are two tags with different years. On the outside the stickers have, hand made, circa 1900, and on the inside there are two half tags. One saying, See page 168-A, Ant. Mag, Jan., 97, with the other having circa, 1790-1810. Kind of confusing, and no magazine name to try and find the information. Some of the small shell shaped pieces have some damage, due to the nature of the piece. They are very thin. The base has a blue #2 on it in ink, under the glaze. It measures 3 5/8" high, 3 1/4" wide, and has a 1 1/2" base. If you like unusual pieces, here is one to do a little more hunting on. I couldn't find anything that came close to looking like it.
