Here we have, a nice pair of Leeds liquer or whiskey bottles, made by Hull Art Pottery in the 1940's.
Remember the old pink Elephant thing, about drinking too much. Well, these are pink Elephant bottles.
They are in great condition, but do have crazing on both bottles, and one has a flake on one ear on the glaze.
Looks like it may have set too close to another piece while firing.
They measure 7 1/2" high, 2" wide at the top, 4 1/2" wide at the widest, and have a 3 1/8" base.
They are both marked on the base, Leeds, U.S.A.
Pink, yellow, and white coloring with black eye lashes, and eye brows.
Neat little bottles, and a great conversation item.
The crazing can be seen in the photos, which are part of the description!
Great for a collection!!
