Here we have, a very nice military cartridge box. It is made of leather and has brass corners on the base and brass rivets on the back, and five steel rivets on the lid no the corners and flap. The flap is held down with a brass pointed rivet. Excellent condition, with only some wear from age. The leather is still soft, and flexes very well. The collector has it packed tight with paper to keep the shape, and you may be able to see a piece of the paper in the photo of the top being open. Four brass corners on the bottom, with a little green showing, from age. This is an unmarked piece, and I have no idea as to what country it came from, or year. The man collected military items from back into the early 1800's and up. It has a belt loop on the back to be worn on a belt. It measures 8 3/4" high, and is 4 1/2" x 3" wide. This has been very well taken care of over the years, and came from a local collection, of which I have purchased several items. Great piece for a collection of military items!!
