Here we have, a nice, American Pauline Systems, A-2 Precision Altimeter, in the leather case. Very good condition, but missing the glass on the face, and the bubble level. Looked it up, and found that it had a bubble level on the face glass, which was underneath the center knob. It was used for surveying, according to what I found, but may have been used for other purposes. I have no idea. The leather case is in great condition, but needs some leather conditioner to give it the color back. It measures with the case, 3 1/2" high, 6 1/4" wide, and has a strap that is about 40" long total length. Marked on the face, which I have photos of, and on the back or bottom of the case is a serial # of 5235. Think it is from the 50's-60's, but not sure. Great piece to add to a collection of surveying stuff!!
