Here we have, a nice, WWI, 75-80mm, brass military shell trench art vase. It is in excellent condition, with great patina. IT is from the battle of Toul, which has been put on the side of the vase or shell casing. Hammered, dimpled pattern around the middle of the body, with TOUL spelled out in the pattern, and on the other side is a symbol with a double cross. Can't remember what it is for, but it is there. Above and below the name are triangles, some smooth and some dimpled, and below the top triangle pattern is a band. Several markings on the bottom A.RS.L207, 1910, 75 DEC, and a couple of other stamped marks. This may tell the caliber, but not really sure. It measures 13 7/8" high, 3" wide at the top, and has a 3 3/8" base. Great piece to add to a military or trench art collection!
