Here we have, a very nice, vaseline butter dish, made by Gillinder & Sons, in their Maple Leaf pattern. Dates to 1888, according to my books, and is in excellent condition, considering its age. It is 128 years old, and only has one tiny nick on one foot. No other damage found. Glows great under a black light, as you can see in the first photo. The nick is shown in the next to last photo, with an ink pen pointing it out. It measures 6 1/2" high with the lid, 6" long, and is 5 1/2" wide, and it is 6" x 5" at the feet. Beautiful piece! Great piece to add to a collection of vaseline, or butter dishes, or the maker's name collection. Great mold strike! The pictures are part of the description, so view them all!!
