Here we have, a locally made, folk art guitar. No idea as to the maker, but it came out of a local clean out. It is made of Walnut, and possibly Poplar, but could be all Walnut wood. The front and back are lighter than the sides and neck, which are Walnut, with the fret board matching the front in wood type. The piece has eight sides, with two sound holes on the front. It has a Walnut arm rest on the top side to raise the arm a little above the base, and even with the strings. Sounds great, but needs a little tuning. Beautifully made piece, in great condition. One splinter on the arm rest, which is still attached, but sticking up a little. It measures 37 1/4" long, 13 5/8" wide, and is 3 5/8" thick. Very light piece, only weighing 4 1/2# without being boxed. No case, but a great piece, if you like to play guitar, and want an unusual piece!!
