Here we have, a very nice, contemporary, Imperial carnival glass butter dish, in smoke, in their Dewey pattern. It is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or repairs. There are a few scratches on the interior base from use. Great color, with the smoke colored glass having great iridescence. Lots of lavender, gold, blue and green hues. It measures 7" high, 6 3/4" wide, and is 4 1/4" wide at the feet. Dates to 1951-1972. Marked with the IG mark in the bottom and in the lid. The feet and patterned skirt edge are without any type of damage, just a few bubbles here and there. Even with it being contemporary, it isn't found that often, and smoke is hard to find in most patterns. Beautiful piece to add to a butter dish collection, or a contemporary carnival glass collection!!!
