Here we have, a nice, early, chrome plated, double edge razor blade sharpener, made by Twin Plex Sales Co. in the 1920's. The handle slides into the body of the sharpener to make it easy to carry around in luggage and things, The blade is inserted into the carrier, and when shut it locks the blade in place, and by turning the handle, two metal rollers sharpen the razor blade. It has a blade with it that came with the piece when I got it, so you can make sure it works. It has a little surface rust, and the opening is supposed to have a cover, which isn't there. Marked on the base, Twin Plex Sales Company, St. Louis, Mo. Serial # 584468, made in U.S.A. Nice early piece, that still can be used, or just to add to a collection!! It measures 2" high, 2 3/4" long, and is 2 3/4" wide without the handle being pulled out.
