Here we have, a nice, silver plate, bride's basket stand made by Boston Silver Plate Co. It is marked on the bottom of the base with the logo, with a horse head in the center, and quadruple plate. Very good condition, considering age and use over the past 100 or so years. In is in need of re-plating, if one desires to have it done, or just to use as it is and show its age. There is a Poppy or Dandelion flower engraved into the center of the bowl, as shown in the photos. It measures 9" high at the handle, 9 1/2" wide at the handle, and is 6 3/4" wide at the feet. Probably would accept a 9" bowl with a pie crust edge or ruffled edge easily. The handle has most of the silver plating missing showing the copper. This is as I purchased it, and it hasn't been cleaned. It came from a nice collection of art glass, which I have purchased several items from over the past few years. Great piece to put a bride's bowl in, or to use for decoration!!!
