Here we have, a nice, and scarce, vaseline opalescent art glass vase. The pattern is Decorated Harlequin, and it dates to around 1880-1890. It is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or repairs. The applied flower has rough edges on both the left and right sides, and may be chipped, but it is hard to tell. Rough to the touch. Shown in the photos, but hard to photograph in detail. Glows great under a black light. The flower has a cranberry frit in clear glass, with the stem and leaf being vaseline. Clear crested edge, and the base has a flame polished pontil mark. It measures 8 1/4" high, 3 1/4" wide at the top, and has a 2 1/4" base. If you like nice art glass, this is a very nice piece to add to the collection.
