Circa the 1990s, a Joyas de la Tierra inspiration by Mexican artisan Flora Marie. Using elements given by the earth, nature’s treasures: wax cast silver, amber from Chiapas, and natural stones, Maria fashions one of a kind jewelry collections inspired by the world’s ecosystems and people and influence by the Mexican culture.
The diminutive detailed charms of birds, nests, snail, and butterfly along with the tree of life sprouting from a guitar (or is it the other way around?) of this highly elaborate, yet delicate piece makes this a remarkable piece of art. Each figure is tiny and yet so specific, this necklace tells a fine story of discovery. Measuring just under twenty-two inches in length, it is in mint vintage condition.
