This is such a beautiful, high quality early 1940's set. The necklace is two strands of gorgeous wonderfully shaped bicone green iridescent aurora borealis crystal beads that are separated with Kelly green rhinestone rondelles. They were originally strung on silk using the backstringing technique. They had no hook, or markings, but the adjustable bead trail was still with the necklace.
I have had them restrung by a professional in the exact combination as found. The earrings are original, hand-wired, as found. They each have the same rondelles and beads and are in excellent vintage condition.
I have found matching filigree findings on page 26 of Cathy Gordon & Sheila Pamfiloff's Miriam Haskell Jewelry and they are very much in the early style of her holiday work. There is no way to be sure that they are Haskell, but they are definitely of that ilk. The individual strands measure fourteen inches and fifteen inches long with an additional three inches in trail beads, which give a hang of seventeen and eighteen inches. The clip-on earrings measure just under one inch.
