This Easter greeting card was designed and produced by Raphael Tuck & Sons of London around 1880 to 1900. The company at that time had just opened stores in Paris and New York due to it's great success in printmaking. Religious cards were very popular at the time, especially to celebrate Christmas and Easter, and this particular one is especially lovely for it's beautiful graphics and fine coloring, as well as being a double sided card with silk fringe between each layer. In near mint condition for it's age, the card measures 4 1/4" by 4 1/4" and the fringe is an additional 3/4". A wonderful keepsake for that special person!
