This is a very finely rendered painting of the "Starnberger See" which is located just below Munich in the Bavarian section of Germany. This lake (called a "See" in Germany) is the 2nd largest in water volume since it is also the deepest freshwater lake in Germany. The painting depicts not only the lake but the beautiful mountains in the distance. On the back of the painting is a paper tag on which is written the location and the name of the artist, and how it is signed; I've also provided a photo of the signature area which is located in the lower right side. The painting is in beautiful original condition measuring 5" by 6 1/2", and has been mounted in a fine frame from a later date, measuring 9" by 10 1/2".
