To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the invention of the lightbulb, the James Beam Distillery Company produced a special issue of whiskey in a decanter produced by the Regal China Corporation in 1979. A photographed portrait of Thomas A. Edison is pictured on the front of the decanter, while on the opposite side is imprinted a hand written history of the invention of the light bulb, while the top part is shaped like the original light bulb. Still intact is the paper tax seal. In near mint condition, it measures 11" in height, 4 1/2" in diameter at the base. A great piece history for the Vintage collector!
