This fine set comes from France and dates around 1880 to 1890. The pocket watch has a beautiful enameled face with both 12 and 24 hour dials done in different colors and encircled with gold dots, and there is also a second hand; all seen through beveled glass. The case is two tone gilt silver with a rope trim on the front and floral motif on the back with a medallion for engraving. On the back side interior you can see the engraving "Remontoir Cylinorel 6 rubis" and on the back cover are marks for the French case, Swiss movement, 800 Silver, and the maker of the watch, Galonne. The watch chain is also two tone gilt silver while the watch stand is done in the Louis VI revival style of the period and is all original with a mirrored platform and velvet underside. A grand gift for the collector!
