Here is a tobacco tin from Russia beautifully decorated with poppies and the name of the company located in Moscow imprinted in gold on the top. As was customary in the early days of smoking when people rolled their own cigarettes or smoked with pipes, tobacco was sold in tins. Obviously this was a high class grade of tobacco which was individually wrapped in small packets and sold in fancy boxes. It measures 10" x 3 1/2" and is 2" in height. In very good condition for it's age!
