This beautiful cup & saucer set dates around 1860 and was made by E. Challinor in England, indicated by the marks on the bottom of the saucer.
In the Florilla Chinoiserie pattern, it shows a vase of flowers, a pagoda, and a bird flying above, all surrounded by a cloud-like border. In addition to the transfer was also hand painted with enamel embellishments to add color. The cup, which is handleless, measures 2 2/7" in height and 3 1/2" in width, while the saucer is 5 7/8" in diameter and 1 1/4" deep.
