Here is a portrait card from the late 19th century that has been mounted on a standing picture frame that has a wood back and decorative pressed and gilt tin corners. The lady sitting in the very ornately carved high back chair appears to have a musical score in her hands, and may well be a "prima donna" of the period. The picture frame measures 6" in height and 4 1/2" in width, and is in good condition, but please note that the back stand is an obvious replacement from later times. A charming and quite interesting piece of history!
