SALE! 15% OFF! Offered is an unusual advertising item from mid-century. In cardboard in the shape of an artist's palette, we find a sample plate of Avon's Heavenlight--the New Face Powder. Nine small (1 1/4") tins with blue backgrounds draped with pink feathers are placed around the palette. Each is identified with its color tone-Rose Rachel, Natural, Rachel, Pink Rose, Coral Rose, Sun Gold, Paris Tan, Dusk Rose and Nut Brown. Performing oversight duties are little pastel tone cherubs on a sky blue background. We have opened each tin to determine condition and found Dusk Rose has no powder. Also note that Nut Brown at the lower right is loose from its well. This latter is in part because there is a light water stain near that tin. Overall, the front of the palette is in good vintage shape. We cannot say the same about the back PLEASE NOTE: the back is stained and has scotch tape from a previous owner--removing it will lift off some of the back cardboard in that one small place. If this is to be used as a display piece, the underside damage will not show. The palette is 10 1/4" x 7 3/4". We are adjusting the price to reflect the damage on the back.
