SALE! 10% OFF! Offered is an unfinished project--a toaster cover doll. She is mostly complete and was worked from a pattern from Family Circle Needlecraft Chicago 80 with 1 1/2 cent stamp (that's the closest we can come to a date). The doll is largely complete. She is in bubble gum pink cotton with hand embroidered features and braided yarn hair. She consists only of a torso and long arms which rest on a fabric covered cardboard platform. The crochet dress is absolutely adorable. It is worked in variegated shades of pink crochet alternating in rows with gold metallic edged blue rick rack. There is one unopened package of rick rack and one remnant, so we are able to identify the rick rack as J C Penney brand. There is a crochet hook included plus the directions and the original envelope. We are including an organdy slip which was found with the other items--whether it is part of the original pattern,, we are unsure. We also think the dress is not yet complete although it is 10 1/2" long. It needs to be longer to cover a toaster, several more rows would be needed. Anyway, what a fun retro project for someone to complete or enjoy as is. Original price $15 Item 81115a. Lot 11/1/7
