LAST CALL! 30% OFF! Offered is a stunning antique silk crazy quilt in Log Cabin Design. The eye is immediately attracted to the diagonal line of the green blocks outlined in black. Closer examination reveals the number of prints and solids that, for the eye, serve as background. Purples and pinks mix with beiges and blues. Each block is 7x7". The backing is a textured butter tone silky fabric, but not a silk as it has withstood its age well. We would even entertain that it is a newer backing than the top. The quilt measures 80 x82. PLEASE NOTE: any one familiar with Victorian/Edwardian era silk crazy quilts will know that the silk has a hard time as it ages. Therefore, note that this quilt does have patches of shattered silk. Also note that the piping serving as the edging shows loss of its fabric layer in spots. It is also separated in spots from the quilt, which is an easier repair than the other two mentioned. This quilt is appropriate for protected display, but not for daily use on a bed or wall. Original price $150 Item 12116a
