LAST CALL! 25% OFF! We are most pleased to offer this outstanding Deco era beaded dress for display. In true flapper design, it has all the features of the style. We are describing the color as champagne--or perhaps oyster is accurate also. The image of champagne is reinforced by the "bubbles" created by concentric circles of silver tone seed beads and sequins. These are in various sizes and they bubble up from the hem just as champagne bubbles arise. Iridescent rhinestones provide extra decoration, especially at the yoke. The waist is dropped with smocking at the seam. The bubbles appear as panels alternating with plain chiffon. The bodice is also scattered with sequin and seed bead bubbles and scattered sequins. This is sleeveless with a U shaped neckline front and back with the back having a deeper plunge. Details: these dresses were meant to hang loose in a straight line--no waistline or definitive hip, so the measurements reflect this: 20" armhole; 38" bust; 35 1/2" waist; 39 1/2" hip; 41" shoulder to hem. This dress is in its 8th or 9th decade and it has tolerated its time on earth well. However PLEASE NOTE: This dress is a wonderful dress, but it is fragile and we are recommending it for display or limited use only. There is a quarter size hole at the seam of the left shoulder. We have found a pea size hole on the right front at the bottom of the row of stones on the yoke. In addition, on the back on the left side between the bust and the hip where scattered sequins appear--the sequins are missing. We missed this at first. it was like looking at one of the puzzles showing two pictures of the same item and one is asked what is different from pic to pic. When it dawned on us that the right side back was different than the left side back, we could see the tiny pinholes left from the stitch that held the sequins in place. We are pricing with this in mind. We have not cleaned this item. There is no unusual odor. The dress weighs about 1 1/2 pounds. Item 74166a
