SALE! 20% OFF! Offered is an unusual, but romantic hand mirror. When we first saw this at auction, we thought it was a framed print. We were surprised that when we turned it over, it was a mirror! The mirror has a picture-like frame in gold painted, stamped wood frame. Inside the frame is a sepia toned print of 18th century ladies visiting in a parlor. They are complete with court dresses and elaborate hair-do's. The print is covered with glass. The handle at the bottom is not obviously a handle--it is a stepped and ridged tab. The mirror is on the reverse. The piece is 9 1/2" tall; 6 3/4" wide and 1/2" deep. It weighs almost a pound. We are unsure how to date this. There is no date on the print that we can find, only a circle in the bottom left that we cannot read , We suppose this could be the '20's, but think it is more likely mid-century.
