LAST CALL! 45% OFF! Offered is a handsome vintage cocktail or evening dress in a more mature size. It is resplendent in turquoise lace, satin and sequins. The style is definitely the '50's/'60's although we are unsure as to its exact vintage. The neckline is a scalloped scoop with a deep plunged V at the back. The 8 1/4" short sleeves are also scallop edged. The pretty bodice is lined and leads to the set in waist, but not before it hosts an inverted V cummerbund. The skirt is sheath style with the added attraction of a draped turquoise tail at the left side. The sides are lace panels and the back of the skirt is all lace. The satin that serves as the liner and the front center panel is more of a gray blue. The front panel has a layer of tissue fabric over the satin. The sequins come into play as large floral appliques decorating the front of the skirt and the decorative tail. There is a self fabric belt which is the only piece that is marked--it is Belt King and advises to clean the belt in the same manner as the dress ( we have no tags to advise us on the dress--but we would suppose careful dry cleaning by a professional). The belt is 3/4" wide and 42 1/2" long although there is a single snap taking it to 39". There is a 10" metal side zipper. Since there is no size or maker label, we recommend paying careful attention to the measurements: 46" from shoulder to 1 3/4" hem; 42" bust; 38 1/2" waist; 44 1/2" hip. A modern size chart is giving us in the vicinity of a ladies size 14 or 16. PLEASE NOTE: this is in very good vintage condition, with no holes, no stains. BUT we do note a discoloration on the right front sleeve edge on one of the scallops. This has not been cleaned, but we note no unusual odor. Item 5527a
