Offered is a truly amazing ethnic style matching caftan and pants. This has such an elegant and commanding presence. The fabric is a heavy weight in spinach green shot with silver thread. Geometric designs in pink, yellow and cream are embroidered in long stitches. Old gold tone quilted decorations in a gordon knot design completes the neckline and are spaced throughout. The caftan is quite roomy. Slash pockets offer a chance to cover the hands. The pants are unique. They use the green fabric for most of the body and leg section. However, the top has a muslin panel where the drawstring is used to create a waistline. The bottom section of the legs are in the old gold quilted bands. Surprise--there is a matching hat which is cloche style. Found with the outfit, but we are unsure as to whether it is original, is an interesting curved belt in gold tone with a bit of cream ridging. We think this is on leather? It is 4" wide and 54 1/2" long and can be wound about the waist. We believe the outfit to have been custom made--there is no label. This is a size large, even given that the outfit is meant to be loosely worn. Details: Pants--44" waist with drawstring not pulled; 50" hip;42" long on the outside; 32 1/2" inseam (we had difficulty measuring the inseam). Caftan: 44" across the shoulders side to side; chest 92"; 110" at the widest point; 46" long. Hat: 24" lower circumference; 11" high. We found no stains, no holes. We wonder if this was ever worn. We do note that in a couple places--the embroidery threads are loose. Original listing price $100 Item 5367a
