Offered is a simply lovely remnant of what at one time would have been an exquisite child's dress or gown. It is part of a bodice or yoke in pristine white star medallion lace for the front panel. It is bordered by a 3 1/2" ruffle. Also attached is a placket with handmade buttonholes. We think this was from the back. We are placing this in the early 20th century, possibly late 1800's. It will be perfect for re-constructing authentic doll clothing or other re-purposing projects. The ruffle as mentioned is 3 1/2" wide and 30" long. The bodice is 6 1/2" long at the shortest; 13" at the widest and 9 1/2" at the least wide. The buttonhole panel is 3" x 18". This is in very fine vintage condition, but Please Note: there is some yellowing which should disappear with laundering with safe whitener; there is a dime size hole at the bottom of the bodice near the ruffle seam; we found a 2 stitch break in 1 medallion.
