SALE! 15% OFF! Offered is a vintage hat quite unique in its presentation. Lemon yellow and black, as odd as it may seem, are not an unusual color combination for spring. In the case of this mid century topper, the yellow is represented in the braided millinery cellophane forming the body of the hat. Black velvet is used to trim the edges of the open crown. Black is also used for the flocked veil in small gauge net that covers the crown and extends below the nose in the front. There is an unusual finish to the band that forms the body of the hat. At the back, it is a fold over trimmed in the black velvet. The label indicates this was carried by Bramson's of Chicago, Evanston, Oak Park, Palm Beach and Evergreen Plaza. It was designed by Irene of New York. Details: 3" tall; 6" across crown; 20 3/4" inner circumference. This is in good vintage condition with no stains and no holes, but PLEASE NOTE: it appears that the veil may be detached on the left side for about 1". It will be easy to re-tack. This hat was part of a collection from an estate sale of a Chicago area mid-century model. Other hats from this collection can be found by searching for 52197 followed by a letter of the alphabet.
